Who we are

The Capitol Fund (thecapitolfund.com) is operated by Alan Ray Winkley from Clute, Texas. We help U.S. business owners explore business funding options through lending and finance partners. We are not a bank or the lender. Funding decisions, underwriting, and any loan or advance agreements are made by independent partners.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit our website, contact us, submit a funding questionnaire, or send a freight-related inquiry.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

• Contact details such as name, company name, email address, and phone number

• Business and funding details you choose to provide in questionnaires or messages (for example revenue ranges, funding purpose, or similar information you submit)

• Freight interest details you choose to provide (for example pickup/delivery locations, commodity, weight, dates, and equipment needs)

• Messages you send us by email, phone, form, or other contact methods

• Technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring URL, and approximate location derived from IP

How we use information

We use information to:

• Respond to your questions and requests

• Review funding inquiries and, when appropriate, share them with lending or finance partners who may contact you about options

• Review freight interest inquiries and, after a brokerage partnership is established and disclosed on this site, share shipment details with that partner brokerage so they can help evaluate options

• Operate, secure, and improve the website

• Keep business records and meet legal or compliance needs

• Prevent spam, fraud, and abuse

We do not sell your personal information for unrelated third-party marketing lists.

How we share information

We may share information with:

• Lending and finance partners, only when you request funding help or submit a funding inquiry, so they can evaluate options and contact you

• A freight brokerage partner, only after that partnership is confirmed and disclosed on our freight page, and only for freight inquiries you submit

• Service providers who host and deliver our site, handle our email, or process our forms, including:

• Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages/CDN), which hosts and delivers this website and processes technical data such as IP address, browser information, and request logs to deliver and secure the site

• Formspree, Inc., which processes the Business Funding Questionnaire: it receives the fields you submit and emails them to support@thecapitolfund.com, and uses Google reCAPTCHA for spam protection

• Professional advisors or authorities when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety

Funding inquiries and freight inquiries are handled separately. We do not automatically share funding application data with freight partners, or freight inquiry data with lending partners, unless you ask us to.

Freight prelaunch note

Until a brokerage partnership is established, freight “Open email inquiry” actions on this site are designed to open a draft in your own email app. Completing that inquiry requires you to send the email. That draft flow does not by itself store your form fields on our servers. Direct emails and calls to support@thecapitolfund.com or 817-705-8589 are received and handled by The Capitol Fund.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no tracking or analytics cookies.

Retention

We keep inquiry and contact records only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, operate the business, handle disputes, and meet legal or bookkeeping requirements, then delete or de-identify them when appropriate.

Your choices

You may email support@thecapitolfund.com to ask what information we have about you, request a correction, or ask us to stop marketing contact. If you no longer want partner follow-up on a specific inquiry, tell us and we will note that preference going forward to the extent we control the record. Partners we already shared an inquiry with may need a separate request.

Children

This website is intended for business owners and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to our size and the type of information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Third-party sites

Links to other websites or partner portals are governed by their own privacy policies. Review those policies before submitting information there. Our store links go to Payhip, which has its own privacy policy.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you have reviewed the revised policy.

Not legal advice

This page describes our current practices in plain language. It is not legal advice. For privacy questions, contact support@thecapitolfund.com.
